We are blessed at Chattokee Lodge to be in
the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where large populations of Eastern Wild Turkey
call home. It would be a pleasure to be your
host as you match your skills with these awesome birds. Our experienced guides will use
all their knowledge and “tricks” to put a big gobbler within range of your gun
or bow.
Seasoned
turkey hunters who prefer to hunt alone are invited as well. We have exclusive hunting
rights to all of our properties and will be glad to “fill you in” you on the
land and what the birds typically do on that particular property.
Chattokee
Lodge will accommodate one group up to four hunters per week for a maximum of 3 days. Alabama
toms can and will become very “educated” if they are pressured and gobbling can
stop. As mentioned, minimizing hunting pressure is a management practice we strictly
adhere to which ensures the best chance of success.
Our
turkey land consists of bottomland hardwoods, gently rolling hills and pastures to steep
ridges and hollows. With this diversity in our hunting land, we can accommodate everyone
regardless of physical condition.
